About this project.

My name is Laura Impuro, I have been an artisan fairy and tattoo artist for over a decade. Chains of Avalonia was born as a new project after the most turbulent and possibly important year of my life so far, which was 2024. The year in which I took a long pause from my main occupation, which is being a tattoo artist. In this same year I had the opportunity to go to the United Kingdom for a few months with the intention of disconnecting from everything I knew. There I connected with a lot of medieval history, among many adventures I found myself in, I was at the Avalon Tor (also known as Glastonbury Tor).

In Celtic mythology, Avalon Tor is said to be the gateway to the land of the fairies. It is also associated with the supposed discovery of the coffins of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere.

Once back in Costa Rica, I became more immersed than ever in Celtic mythology and medieval times, reconnecting with that part of me that I had been so passionate about since I was 12 years old.

Speaking of the past, I have been able to make jewelry since I was about 8 years old. I remember that I used to sell it at school and they even confiscated my products because they were not allowed to sell them. Throughout my life I have had about 4 jewelry ventures, which I now feel have been a great school for this new baby.

Products

Each product is handmade, ring by ring and hour by hour, in stainless steel and other materials of the highest possible quality such as cultured pearls, semi-precious stones and others. In the "chainmail" technique, which is a type of weave with steel rings made to make armor worn by European knights and other military personnel during most of the medieval period.

Being handmade, I offer the possibility of receiving personalized orders according to availability and adjusting measurements according to each person.
